Join us in a guided meditation and reiki circle that will honor the flow of positive energy. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes relaxation, and reduces stress, and anxiety through gentle touch. Everyone has the ability to connect with their own magical healing energy and use it to strengthen the magic in themselves. Join us for an evening guided mystical meditation and reiki circle led by Reiki Masters dyAnne and Wendy.

Wendy Ramirez, LMSW, works in Healthcare providing wellness and self-care services to alleviate burnout and stress. She has studied Reiki, biofeedback, and Mindful Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Come test your memory and self appointed title of HP Trivia Wizard at Harry Potter Trivia: After Dark. (See what we did there?) All questions will be from the events that happened during the series AFTER the sun has set. Grab a friend and prepare for this team of two style trivia tournament. Prizes will be given to the winning teams.

Kat “Ell” Amitrano has loved reading since she was 5 years old. When she was introduced to the Wizarding World, her whole life changed. She found new friends, new family, went on new adventures to new places, and never forgot the lessons she learned from HP: Everyone deserves a chance to be loved and valued for who they are. In 2017, while attending a convention as a “barker” for a vendor, she met her co-hosts Kymm Mooney and Darlene Belisle. Life since has been VERY entertaining.

Time: 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Look up at the stars and what do you see? Join other star-seekers during Astronomy with Professor James Hinsey in this fan-favorite course! The evening will start indoors with an introduction to the study of stars, galaxies, and cosmology, and then the class will go outside to put your new knowledge into play under the beautiful rural Connecticut sky. This class begins in the White Barn, but will move outside, so please make sure to bring layers!

Spell Jars can be an amazing way to collect and carry pieces of nature. They can be used if you feel yourself struggling to be positive, protect you from bad vibes, or to ensure you’re sending out a clear message to the universe about what you desire. Your instructor Jess Mercado will give you the tools and knowledge to make your own! They may contain herbs and crystals, slips of paper with your hopes and dreams, a favorite flower, or even metaphorical representations of items or feelings that are important to you! All materials will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own items of personal importance to add to their jars!

Like being one with nature? Want to take your new fall robes for a walk in the Autumn air? Then join us for a 1 mile hike as we search for Horcruxes. As teams, we will wander the trail in the woods of Chester, working together to find all 7 Horcruxes. Come along with trail guides Deanna Kelley and dyAnne Irby who will lead you on a merry chase through hill and dale in the search!

Make sure to bring comfortable shoes and dress for outdoors!

“Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them.” – Lupin

This session is an opportunity to take a step back, confront our Dementors, and practice a bit of magical self-care. Self-care does not always have to be bubble baths, manicures or face-masks. Sometimes self-care is setting boundaries, taking risks, or employing coping skills that may surprise you. Participants will be led in a discussion surrounding mental health and wellness, and participate in a guided meditation led by Emily Kastner, LMSW. Comfort items and comfy clothes are encouraged.

Join Dungeon Master Mars for a light-hearted and silly one-shot: “A Familiar Quandary!” You will take on the role of familiar who must work together to undo the effects of a faulty polymorph potion that has turned your beloved wizardry friend into good. You will need to act quickly, for the transformation threatens to become permanent! Characters and extra dice will be provided (but feel free to bring your own)!

Afternoon Session – Pre-registration Required (Opens October 7th)

Enjoy an afternoon on the Great Lawn indulging in the refined game of Pall Mall (some muggles may know it as croquet). First played in France in the early 17th Century, Pall Mall was enjoyed in England throughout the 18th Century and Regency Era. We will relish in an afternoon game, honing our mallet skills through our course. Bridgerton Family rules are applicable.

All equipment provided. Dress for the outdoors. Dress robes are optional.

In this class, taught by Talon of The Bergen House in Middletown, CT, we will discover modern mead-making techniques and discuss the fruit and herb additions that make an infinite number of mead flavors. After learning proper mead tasting techniques for optimal beverage appreciation, the class will conduct a guided mead tasting. By the conclusion of this class, students will gain the ability to make mead, taste mead and wine in a professional way, and will have enjoyed a flight of four meads. 21+ only.

Join Kris Saunders for a tabletop role-playing game (a homebrew of D&D 5th edition rules) session of collaborative storytelling using pre-generated character sheets (you have room to add personal flavor). In the UK’s 1970s wizarding world, with your bell-bottoms and fashionably coiffed hair, a cadre of aurors from the Ministry of Magic’s Department of Fantastical Beasts was sent to a mansion to investigate reports of an eccentric millionaire hoarding exotic creatures. The reports were correct and you sent most of the captive creatures off to magical veterinary care, , but the millionaire is yet missing. You now head either a rescue mission or a raid depending on what’s become of the millionaire. And…did anyone notice those claw marks on the wall? Is that webbing? Better get your wands out.

Let crafter extraordinaire Mars be your guide through the creation of some magical miniature cross-stitches (they’re only about 1″!) that can be turned into pins, magnets, and more! All you need to know before you come is how to thread a needle and not burn yourself with hot glue. All materials will be provided.

“Ah music! A magic far beyond what we do here.” ~ Albus Dumbledore

Powerful words, a true sentiment, and we have to wonder…what would music class be like at Hogwarts? Well, wonder no more. Join Dr. Braxton Ballew of Valentine Wolfe to explore emotion and meaning in music. You might love your favorite bands even more, and you might learn to love some new music that you maybe weren’t into before (disclaimer-Dr. Ballew’s methods aren’t foolproof-he applied his own techniques to Justin Bieber, and alas, remains not a fan).

You do not have to read music, be a musician, or have any prior musical knowledge to attend this session. All you need to bring is curiosity and wonder.

Let’s explore the deeper magic together…and if nothing else, we’ll listen to some really cool music together.
